How do you know you can trust a website?

When looking for health information on the Internet, look for one of the “HON Code” images at the bottom of a web page or on the site’s “About us” page (images below). The Health On the Net Foundation (HON) is a non-profit, non-governmental organization that works to improve the quality and reliability of online health information. The image indicates that the site complies with HON code of ethics and that the information is accurate and reliable.
