As trusted messengers, community health workers and health navigators can help provide reliable information about COVID-19 vaccinations and other routine immunizations. Motivational Interviewing (MI) skills can be used to guide respectful and empathetic discussions around vaccination. In this interactive course, you will build on foundational MI skills that will help you navigate challenging conversations with clients, with time for guided practice. Both basic MI skills and specific strategies for vaccine hesitancy will be addressed.
You will receive a free skills assessment as part of this training and the opportunity to sign up for a one-on-one coaching session.
Suggested Prerequisite: Basic Motivational Interviewing training (either through the Level 1: Health Navigation Fundamentals in-person training or 4-week MI Basics online training)
