The Colorado Coalition for the Homeless seeks a Housing Navigator to coordinate housing opportunities for families/individuals across all housing subsidy programs at CCH. This position identifies rental opportunities for clients and is the liaison between the service teams, client and landlord, maintaining active engagement with scattered site landlords and collaborating with Renaissance Property Management Corporation. This position is located at 2135 Stout Street, Denver, CO 80205 and reports to the Housing Counseling Program Manager.
Essential Job Functions
- Provides excellent internal and external customer service, behaving in a manner that cultivates trust, respect, and teamwork.
- Recruits, develops, and maintains positive relationships with local property owners and landlords for the purpose of expanding scattered-site housing stock.
- Stays up to date with community housing options, waitlist, and openings.
- Conducts and/or assists with housing searches, housing orientations, VA housing inspections, CCH master lease-ups, and coordinate unit turns, move-out inspections (as appropriate) for Transition in Place (TIP) and Services Intensive Transitional Housing (SITH) Grant Per Diem (GPD) programs.
- Attends weekly housing meetings and monthly team meetings.
- Assists participants individually and in groups with completing housing applications either in the office or in the community.
- Assist clients referred through VA with navigating systems required for housing placement.
- Demonstrates competency in all database systems including the Homeless Management Information System (HMIS) and Microsoft Excel.
- Meets with clients to review market rate, affordable/tax-credit, and subsidized rental options.
- Serves as a liaison between landlord/property owners, community members, and service providers to help facilitate ongoing supportive services.
- Helps facilitate the relocation process as needed including identifying new units and completing all necessary forms for relocation.
- Collaborates with CCH, VA programs, and outside service providers to ensure coordination of care for program families/individuals.
- Consults regularly with supervisor regarding training needs, operational issues surrounding housing navigation, and programmatic needs.
- Networks with community agencies for the purpose of coordination and/or development of services.

Qualifications Summary
- Two years working in a field related to housing programs preferred.
- Experience working with Veteran population preferred.
- Experience working with community landlords preferred.
