The Rocky Mountain Public Health Training Center is offering a Social Determinants of Health course this fall. The goal of this 12-week course is to equip participants with the information and skills they need to apply a system thinking approach to address social determinants of health. Topics include social and community context; education; economic stability; neighborhood and built environments; health and healthcare.
Work for this course will be completed in groups of two or three. Together, groups will take their understanding of social determinants of health to the next level as they identify actionable steps that impact the root causes of poor health outcomes in their communities.
Dates: Live Learning Sessions every other Tuesday, 12-1:30 pm MST, beginning on Sept. 20-Dec.13
Time Commitment: 1.5 hour live learning sessions every other week; plus 2-3 hours of homework prior to each session
