A community health worker (CHW) is a frontline public health worker who is a trusted member of and/or has a close understanding of the community served. This trusting relationship enables the CHW to service as a liaison or link between health/social services and the community to facilitate access to services and improve the quality and cultural responsiveness of service delivery.

- CHW ethics
- Cultural mediation
- Outreach, inreach and network weaving
- Community education and facilitation
To receive a certificate of completion, you must attend and actively participate in the full program of training and complete 80% of assignments and live learning sessions. Basic computer skills required.
