About North

North Trials helps people with cancer find clinical trials they actually have a chance of joining. Patients complete a short intake, North matches them to recruiting studies, and connects them with the research sites running those studies. We work with community research sites and academic cancer centers across the US.

The role

You will work with the patients most likely to enroll: reach them fast, keep them supported, and make sure each one connects with a site and reaches screening.

What you’ll do

  • Find the patients most likely to enroll. Review new intakes, their study matches, and any match reports flagged for manual review. Prioritize the patients with the best chance of qualifying.
  • Reach them fast and stay with them. Call or text priority patients soon after they sign up. Follow up with anyone who stalls, and look for other studies for near-misses and screen fails.
  • Get every referral you can to screening. Make sure each patient knows what happens next, and work with site coordinators until the site makes contact.
  • Keep the system sharp. Keep patient statuses and notes current, share a weekly note on where patients get stuck, and help refine our outreach scripts and handoff steps.

What we’re looking for

Required

  • Experience as an oncology patient navigator, clinical trial or nurse navigator, clinical research coordinator (CRC), or trial recruitment specialist
  • Can explain trial phases, eligibility, consent, screening, and randomization in plain language
  • Warm, calm, and honest with patients and caregivers in hard moments. You never pressure or over-promise.
  • Persistent follow-through: no patient sits without a next step.
  • Short, clear writing for texts, emails, and notes to coordinators.
  • Organized and careful with patient data; follows consent and messaging rules and asks when unsure
  • Builds good working relationships with site coordinators

Nice to have

  • Working knowledge of oncology (tumor types, staging, biomarkers, lines of therapy)
  • Recruitment call center or patient intake experience.
  • Spanish or another second language
  • Available some evenings or weekends to reach patients when they’re free
