Grieve Gracefully is dedicated to culturally grounded grief education, mental health awareness, and healing practices. Through panels, workshops, and lived-experience storytelling, we examine grief, trauma, stigma, and the systemic barriers that shape how Black families are cared for. Participants leave with practical strategies for compassionate grief support, and with relationships that outlast the two days.

Day 1 – Oct. 16 (9 am-4 pm): (Geared toward interdisciplinary professionals providing care to families). We examine Black grief through historical context, research, and community voice, exploring how bereaved Black families navigate systems and inequities across critical areas of life. Participants move from understanding these barriers to identifying measurable changes in practice, policy, or partnership. Cost: $149 for professionals, $79 for community members.

Day 2 – Oct. 17 (9 am-4 pm): (Geared toward community members with lived experience): Through storytelling, creative expression, cultural wisdom, and lived experience, we explore what becomes possible when communities lead, voices are amplified, and healing becomes a catalyst for lasting change. Free for community members.
