The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) will convene a committee to review Community Health Worker Training Program applications. Membership ideally includes providers, current Community Health Workers or Health Navigations, Area Health Education Center (AHEC) representatives, etc. Compensation is available if you are not able to use work time to participate.

Become familiar with the Training Program Standards (the final version will be shared).

Review each application and additional documentation:

CDPHE will convene a Review Committee to review each application and will provide feedback to the applicant within 30 days of submitting.

Provide feedback using a checklist or rubric.

CDPHE anticipates about 5 applications with an additional 1-2 in next year.
