The Colorado School of Public Health has an opening for a full-time Professional Research Assistant (PRA) who will be primarily responsible for assisting with promoting colorectal cancer screening and increasing screening rates among the medically underserved. This position works with the Colorado Colorectal Screening Program (CCSP) at the University of Colorado Cancer Center. The CCSP is a grant funded program that collaborates with community clinics and their service partners statewide to provide patient navigation services to medically underserved individuals considering endoscopic colorectal cancer (CRC) screening or diagnostic workup.
The PRA will work with the Principal Investigator, the Co-Director and other program personnel to help design and carry out interventions to increase CRC screening rates. The PRA will help the clinics develop improved practices for patient navigation, will assist with education and training of clinic personnel, provide technical assistance, and will ensure they guide patients through CRC screening and treatment.
