Welcome to the Colorado Patient Navigator Training Program!
The Colorado Patient Navigator Training Program is proud to be part of the national effort to make patient navigation a key part of the healthcare system. Thanks to a grant from the Colorado Cancer, Cardiovascular, and Pulmonary Disease (CCPD) Program, we are able to offer this exciting new patient navigator training option.
The program is designed to help you and your organization prepare for the growing, new profession of patient navigation. In July 2006 we began developing a comprehensive patient navigator training program. Training helps ensure consistent services and care throughout the state.
Today the program offers a full curriculum. Training is easy to incorporate into a navigator’s busy schedule with formats such as workshops, self-paced online tutorials and online courses. Students can also take courses to earn college credit.
Our dedicated team includes patient navigators, navigator supervisors, educators, medical experts, licensed social workers, psychologists and evaluators. We work continuously to improve courses to make sure they are of high quality and relevant to situations that navigators face every day.
Our program has been funded since 2006. We invite you to contact us for more information to learn how you and your organization can join in this exciting, new, Colorado-based collaborative effort.
