literacyToday more people have access to health insurance under the Affordable Care Act (ACA).  Yet, many people struggle to understand how health insurance works.  Health insurance literacy has been defined as the “degree to which individuals have the knowledge, ability, and confidence to evaluate information about health plans, select the best plan for their financial and health circumstances, and use the plan once enrolled” (Consumers Union, February 2012).  This webinar will provide useful resources and practical steps to improve health insurance literacy.

Join the Colorado Health Literacy Coalition in an interactive webinar from noon-1 p.m. Feb. 10  to learn more about health insurance literacy, including:

  • The Colorado Consumer Health Initiative and current health insurance literacy resources

  • Empowering patients to get the most out of their plans
